Education and the Future: Vimi Fasteners Takes the Podium at the Dallara Academy
11/06/2026The Group publishes its 2025 Sustainability Report: profitability improves and the “Next Index” ESG rating rises (to 65%).
Key flagship projects include circular efficiency and support for the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine Biosphere Reserve. Vimi Fasteners, a leader in the design and manufacture of high-precision fastening components, announces the finalization of its 2025 Sustainability Report. The document integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals into the Group’s industrial strategy, demonstrating how the ecological transition has become a fundamental driver for long-term value creation for all stakeholders.
In a challenging macroeconomic year – marked by international geopolitical tensions, competitive pressure from Asia, and the introduction of new US tariffs by the second Trump administration – Vimi Fasteners’ business model proved to be solid and resilient. The Group recorded a 1.5% increase in revenues and a significant improvement in overall profitability. “2025 was a year dense with global trade tensions that tested our responsiveness, confirming the Group’s great resilience,” states Marco Sargenti, CEO of Vimi Fasteners. “We pursued the path toward authentic and measurable sustainability with determination. We look to the future with confidence, certain that a company’s growth is inseparable from the well-being of its community.”
Vimi Fasteners’ ESG performance is reflected in clear, steadily improving indicators. ESG performance on the rise: the Next Index sustainability indicator rose to 65% (compared to 61% in 2024 and 55% in 2023). Renewable energy: 82 percent of corporate electricity consumption comes from renewable sources, thanks to a strategic mix of an internal photovoltaic system and certified supplies. Circular economy: the recovery rate of production waste reached 69%, drastically reducing the industrial environmental impact.
On the social and governance front, Vimi Fasteners accelerated investments in three key areas. Well-being and safety: structural interventions to improve the microclimate in production departments and a strong commitment to compliance with safety procedures, leading to a further reduction in accident rates. Cybersecurity: officially launched the process to obtain the TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) certification, the standard of excellence for protecting corporate and customer information assets. Community support: renewed financial commitment in favor of local educational institutions and the Caritas soup kitchen.
Among the flagship projects of 2025, the partnership with the UNESCO Tuscan-Emilian Apennine Biosphere Reserve stands out. Vimi Fasteners purchased the park’s Sustainability Credits to actively counteract CO2 emissions.
This investment directly funds the responsible management and protection of local forests, enhancing their carbon sequestration capacity, reducing the risk of hydrogeological instability, and safeguarding the animal and plant biodiversity of the area where the company operates.
