High Strength
Fasteners made of carbon steels with boron or other alloying elements such as Cr, Mo, Ni can reach mechanical characteristics up to 1240 MPa through the heat treatment process.
High temperature
Vimi Fasteners has solid know-how in forming, rolling and in heat treatment processes for materials suitable for high temperature applications.
High performances
Components made of high-alloy steels and high-strength alloys, with special heat treatments can reach mechanical characteristics up to breaking limits of 1900 Mpa.
Resistance, lightness, rust-proof
Vimi Fasteners manufactures titanium components combining lightness and high mechanical properties.
Specifically, with raw material Ti6Al4V grade 5, Vimi Fasteners has developed a process to reach tensile strength over 1200 MPa.
Corrosion Resistance
Protective coatings are used to protect fastening system against corrosion. They can be applied by galvanic process or by zinc flakes deposition. Vimi Fasteners can apply a wide range of susurface coatings, according to customer's specifications.
Fatigue resistance
Fastening components, subjected to alternating stress, are mission critical and require specific technical solutions and production processes to increase fatigue strength.
In particular, the determining factors are: raw material, heat and surface treatment, geometric characteristics of the underhead radius and thread. This requires materials with very high degree of purity, specific heat treatments and optimized process control with minimal geometry variations and production process parameters.
Patented threads & thread lockers
Vimi Fasteners owns the MAT THREAD patent. This special thread is used for automatic fittings. Its special shape of the end-screw makes assembling easier, avoiding issue of misalignment with the threaded hole and the axis of the screw.
Vimi Fasteners can also apply the main polyamide and microcapsule products on the threads to avoid loosening of the tightening
